Install & Run Play Store on Your Windows Computer

Welcome! Today, I'm going to guide you through the steps to install the Google Play Store on your Windows computer, allowing you to access all the Android applications and games you love. This setup will let you run them natively, no matter where you are in the world. Let's get started!

Enable Windows Features 🛠️

First things first! We need to enable some essential Windows features. Here’s how:

• From the taskbar, type Windows feature and hit enter.
• Click on the Control Panel that appears in the results.
• Scroll down and find the options for Windows Hypervisor Platform and Virtual Machine Platform.
• Make sure to enable both features. After that, click OK.

These features are crucial for running the Play Store and Android apps on your Windows computer. After enabling these features, reboot your computer to apply the changes.

Download Builds 📥

Now, let’s download some necessary files from the official Microsoft GitHub page:

• Open any web browser and search for wsa Windows 11 GitHub.
• Click on the link that says Windows Subsystem for Android.
• Scroll down and click on the hyperlink that says wsa builds.

You'll find various builds available. It’s important to choose the correct file based on your device type and Windows version. For my Windows 11 computer, I’ll download the stable build and select x64bit as per my device specifications.

Download Build 📂

Once you reach the download page, you’ll see options for different versions of the Windows Subsystem for Android. This includes versions with or without the Amazon Store, and with the Google Play Store included. For this tutorial, I will download the version without the Amazon Store and with the Google Play Store.

• Scroll down to the assets section and click on the first link to download it.

Let it download. You should see a 7z zip file downloading. attention remember download this file name "WSA_2407.40000.0.0_x64_Release-Nightly-GApps-13.0-NoAmazon.7z"

Extract Build 📤

After downloading, it's time to extract the file:

• Open your file manager and navigate to where the downloaded file is located.
• Right-click on the file and select Extract. Make sure to extract it in the same location.

Next, ensure you paste the folder in the Documents path only; otherwise, it won’t work. Rename the entire folder to wsa in block letters.

Enable Developer Mode 🔧

Now, double-click to enter the folder and locate the run.bat file. Double-click on it to run the batch file.

• If you get a security popup, click on More Info and then Run Anyway.
• The installation process will start. Sit back and let it install the necessary files.
• If prompted again, check the box and click Continue.

Once the installation is over, it might redirect you to a webpage confirming that the Windows Subsystem for Android has been successfully installed with Google apps. If it doesn’t redirect, check your taskbar for any open website.

Next, search for the Windows Subsystem for Android app and launch it. Go to Advanced Settings and enable Developer Mode.

• Click on Manage Developer Settings. Allow public and private networks to access the Windows Subsystem for Android app.
• Under Experimental Features, enable the specific option shown in the video.
• Finally, navigate to Window Focus and select Independent.

And that’s it! Now it’s time to check if the Play Store is working correctly.

Launch the Play Store and log in with your Google credentials. If everything is working great, you can start installing Android applications!

For demonstration, let’s install the Photos app.

The installation process will begin, and you can see that everything is functioning without any errors. Once installed, the app will work just as expected, allowing you to back up photos and videos stored on your computer.
